It is rough to pinpoint when, exactly, Adam Sandler—who, according to Google’s Calendar year in Search report, was 2021’s most searched title in the “celebrity fashion” category—became a style icon. It is not that his wardrobe has altered substantially over the previous pair a long time (it hasn’t), or only since at some stage 2000s schlub grew to become 2020s drip (it has). No, it can be that, as a result of it all, the Sandman—who also, crucially, starred as the most attractive character in the most classy movie of 2019—has hardly ever stopped dressing like himself.
Sandler’s at present on the promo circuit for Hustle, his most current Netflix motion picture (his business, Happy Madison Productions, has had an ongoing multi-motion picture offer with the streamer considering the fact that 2014), in which he performs a fictional Philadelphia 76ers scout. Yesterday, when he was noticed walking about the Jimmy Kimmel Reside! lot putting on a branded Hustle trucker cap and carrying a rumpled armful of garments, he may perhaps have inadvertently provided us a glimpse into his purple carpet wardrobe to come—and let’s just say, it will in all probability include a ton of blue and orange. Any fictional allegiance to the Sixers apart, Brooklyn-born Sandler is a Knicks male.
He wore a collection of all those aforementioned garments to that evening’s Hustle premiere in Los Angeles, like a pair of neon orange Hokas, unfastened-fit pool-blue trousers, and a printed polo from Wailea Golf Club, which is found on the Hawaiian island of Maui. (In typical Sandler style, he also wore one more Wailea polo to another Netflix celebration a couple months in the past. Our man is on island time.)
